A group of young people who have spent their holidays from school vcolunteering for the Castle Bromwich Community Project were recognised at an Award’s Ceremony held at Solihull Library Theatre on February 3rd.

The young people who attend Castle Bromwich Youth & Community Centre have been supported by youth workers to combine their volunteering in Castle Bromwich graveyard with working towards a John Muir Award which encourages awareness and responsibility for the natural environment in a spirit of fun, adventure and exploration.

The award is open to people of all ages and backgrounds and includes four challenges:

  • Discover
  • Explore
  • Conserve
  • Share
