Arthur Stanley Moore was the son of Albert Sloper Moore and Ellen Stanley Jones of 764 Washwood Heath Road, Birmingham.

He was killed whilst flying in Wellington X, LN272 ‘B’ of No 104 Sqn, which crashed near Ischia di Castro following an engine failure en-route to a target at Perugia. He is buried in Bolsena War Cemetery. He was 20 years of age. He is also remembered on the family grave in Castle Bromwich Graveyard.
