Royal Air Force

Records show that Arthur served in the Royal Air Force for ten and half years, and was demobilised in 1945. Later that year, on a foggy  November morning, he was riding a motor cycle along the Coleshill Road when it collided with an army lorry. Arthur was badly injured and his death certificate states that he died from shock on the 15th November 1945. He is buried in Castle Bromwich Graveyard.
